If you live in certain areas west of Floyd Road, or in the area south of South Gordon Road, you might be experiencing a bit of a "postal identity crisis." While your mail still says Austell, GA, these neighborhoods are now officially within the city limits of Mableton.

Since the historic vote in late 2022 that officially established Mableton as a city, the map has shifted in ways that many residents are still trying to wrap their heads around. While Google Maps and the physical city limit signs reflect the truth, our mailboxes are still catching up to the reality of our new borders.

Mableton in Disguise: Places You Might Think Are Austell

Even though your Amazon packages say "Austell," if you live in these areas, you are officially part of the City of Mableton. You vote for Mableton’s City Council, you’re part of the Mableton 2045 Comprehensive Plan, and your local stewardship is what’s driving our city forward.

Until the Post Office catches up with our city’s progress, we’ll keep relying on those city limit signs and Google Maps. But whether your mail says Austell or Mableton, the "unified commitment" to making our community great remains the same.
