The South Cobb Business Association held a special luncheon Wednesday, November 5th, to honor our nation’s veterans.
One of the highlights was hearing from Cobb County Commissioner Monique Sheffield, who focused on a vital local initiative: Tunnel to Towers Foundation's Veterans Village. This project located, close to Six Flags at the former Wingate Hotel, provides permanent housing for homeless vets.
We also heard from American Legion Unit 296 President, Carla Thomas, who spoke about the rich history of the American Legion and the current impact the organization has on veterans and their families.
