Scenes from Oct 11 at the historic Mable House, where Friends of the Mable House hosted a free, family-friendly day of 19th-century demos, live music, and classic games.
Mable House Harvest Festival returned on October 11 with a free, family-friendly day that felt like stepping into 19th-century Mableton. Sponsored by the Friends of the Mable House, the grounds came alive with hands-on demonstrations of everyday farm life, plenty of good eats, live music, and performances that kept the crowd moving from one corner to the next.
Families spread out on blankets and lawn chairs, then jumped into old-school games—sack races, hoop rolling, and the graceful “game of graces.” I was there with my camera to capture the scenes and smiles.
